The battle of Brestem Part 2: Oscillations
The bioships moved through space with a fluidity that no mechanical ship could match, allowing them to dodge most of the enemy fire. As the bioships moved about, drawing closer and spreading further apart from each other, the nature, strength, density, and integrity of the larger overall field as well as each individual field varied wildly. As the front most of the swarms died to Tenebrae’s weapons, those that survived drew close enough for their parasitic plasma cannons to engage. While small and weaker than their mechanical equivalents they were numerous. Even the plasma cannons of the dead ships added to the attack, the carcass they

Brestem system: Edge of Stromian sector, Tenebrae Collective space.
The attack group split into two forces, on traveling above and the other below the galactic plane. They traveled in a large arch, converging on Brestem. The first ship to enter the system entered from above the galactic plane. It was small, barely even half a mile long. The living ship’s shell absorbed all sensors, leaving it an empty hole cast against the brilliance of the universe. The same organs that had allowed the ship to enter faster than light travel now generated a hyperspatial field, which played and toyed with all manner of sensors, which eroded, refracted,
